NACHHALTIGER EXPERIMENTALBAU ALS SOZIALER INTERAKTIONSRAUM

In einem experimentellen Entwurfs- und Bauprozess wurde während eines 14-tägigen Workshopformats gemeinsam mit der lokalen Bewohnerschaft das „Forum Nossener Brücke“ als gesellschaftlicher Interaktionsraum auf einer urbanen Brachfläche entwickelt und gebaut. Grundlegendes Prinzip war die konsequente Vermeidung jeglichen Ressourcenverbrauchs, weshalb das Projekt vollständig aus direkt vor Ort recycelten Holzreststoffen örtlicher Unternehmen konstruiert wurde. Geleitet wurde der Prozess vom jungen Architekturkollektiv „Institut für räumliche Resilienz“ unter Beteiligung verschiedener interdisziplinärer Fachleute aus den Bereichen Architektur, Landschaftsarchitektur, Urbanistik, Stadtökologie, Bauingenieurwesen und Handwerk. Dabei wurden in der ersten Phase durch direkte Kommunikation mit der umliegenden Community Bedarfe, Möglichkeiten und Visionen entwickelt, visualisiert und in einen Entwurf übersetzt. 

In der Umsetzungsphase konnte das „Forum Nossener Brücke“ vollständig autark durch eine Gruppe aus Anwohnenden, Studierenden und weiteren  Interessierten ausgeführt werden. Die enge Zusammenarbeit mit den späteren Nutzer*innen schon während des Entwurfsprozesses konnte eine breite Akzeptanz der räumlichen Intervention im Stadtteil erzeugen und führte zu einem hohen Engagement der Anwohnenden bei der weiteren Entwicklung der Brachfläche. Die gebaute Struktur lässt vielfältige Nutzungen zu und ermöglicht damit die Aneignung der Fläche durch kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Initiativen in den nächsten Jahren. Das Forum Nossener Brücke zeigt somit beispielhaft eine zeitgemäße, ressourcenneutrale Stadt- und Raumentwicklung durch innovativ-kollektive architektonische Schaffensprozesse zur gemeinwohlorientierten Erschließung bisher ungenutzter Räume.

In an experimental design and construction process, the „Forum Nossener Brücke“ was developed and built, together with local residents, as a social interaction space on a vacant brownfield during a 14-day workshop. The basic principle was the avoidance of any resource consumption, which is why the project was constructed entirely from wood leftovers provided by local companies. The process was led by the young architectural collective „Institute for Spatial Resilience“ with the participation of various interdisciplinary experts from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban ecology, civil engineering and other trades. During the first phase, needs, possibilities and visions were developed, visualised and translated into a draft proposal, in constant communication with the surrounding community. During the implementation phase, the „Forum Nossener Brücke“ was completed by a group of residents, students and other interested parties. The close cooperation with the future users, already during the design process, was able to generate a broad acceptance of the spatial intervention in the district and led to a high level of commitment from the residents in the further development of the brownfield. The built structure allows for a variety of uses and thus will facilitate the appropriation of the space by cultural and social initiatives in the coming years. The Forum Nossener Brücke exemplifies contemporary, resource-neutral urban and spatial development through innovative, collective architectural processes for a community-oriented development of unused spaces.
